Neve Campbell at London Film and Comic Con!

Neve Campbell is mostly known for playing the role of tormented protagonist, 'Sidney Prescott,' in the horror film franchise, SCREAM. The Canadian actress treated excited fans by signing autographs and taking photos with them at, London Film and Comic Con 2015 (LFCC). Neve welcomed me with her beautiful and radiant smile, and it was an absolute pleasure to talk with her - especially since she doesn't attend conventions often, and at the time of my interview with Neve this was her second convention ever, and her first ever in London.
Neve Campbell and me at LFCC 2015

Neve began her career in acting when she appeared in the Canadian television series Catwalk, which eventually led to her being cast as 'Julia Salinger' in the drama series, Party of Five (1994-2000).

She has also appeared in films such as, Wild Things (1998) starring alongside Kevin Bacon and Matt Dillon, and The Craft (1996) playing the role of 'Bonnie' in this teen drama/horror story about witchcraft.

As I'm a supporter of indie film-making, I asked Neve if she had been involved in any short films earlier in her career, it brought a smile to her face, and a sense of nostalgia: "Yes, can I remember the names of them, no," she laughed. Neve, recalled working on a short film about a painter when she was seventeen, and gave some fantastic inspiring advice for any upcoming filmmakers who have made a short film.

Neve Campbell, has also guest starred in many television shows such as, Medium, Grey's Anatomy and Mad Men, her latest role was in the popular drama series, House of Cards.

To watch what, Neve Campbell, had to say about, LFCC 2015, check out the video below, which also includes comments from, Zach Galligan, star of Gremlins (1984) or as he said to me: "'I'm the human' star," referring to his cute furry little co-star as the real star of Gremlins, plus actor and director, Tom Savini, From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) and lots more!

'Back to the Future' cast reunion at London Film & Comic Con 2015!

The cast of the 'Back to the Future' trilogy answer questions at the London Film and Comic Convention 2015. Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the franchise that gave us iconic characters, unforgettable phrases, and kept us thoroughly entertained on an epic adventure through time!  Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and the lovely Lea Thompson answer questions on this panel. Reflecting back on memories working together - such as the scene 'Marty' and 'Lorraine' park and Michael wasn't expecting real whiskey in the prop bottle, so his 'spit take' was a real reaction!

SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER!

It was hard to believe that Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox & Lea Thompson were right in front of me, talking at the official London Film & Comic Con press conference. It was really cool hearing their stories - seeing them interact with each other on the stage, I could tell they had a great chemistry between them off-screen as well as on-screen. It must have been a lot of fun making the 'Back to the Future' movies.

Also, Michael discussed co-writer Bob Gale creating interesting characters and how co-writer / Director Robert Zemeckis and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg worked together.

SLACKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!

The lovely Claudia Wells a.k.a 'Jennifer Parker' introduces the video below that I worked on for Limelight TV (which supports indie-filmmakers). I interviewed James Tolkan a.k.a., 'Mr Strickland' - a great guy and very welcoming, as he said, "You said my name well," he talks to me about his favourite films from his career and gives some encouraging and inspirational advice to the young people of today.

DON'T BE A BOJO! THESE HOVERBOARDS DON'T WORK ON WATER!

Ricky Dean Logan played 'Data' in 'Back to the Future part 2' and famously called Marty McFly a 'Bojo', during the incredible Hoverboard scene set in the future - Oct 21st 2015 precisely (which we celebrated this year!) He also told me how he started in the movie business due to a unexpected short film, and gives some great motivational advice to upcoming talented filmmakers.

Also watch a surprise cameo from Jeffrey Weissman a.k.a., 'George McFly' (BTTF 2 & 3) showing off a really cool gadget from 'Doc Brown' ;-)

Plus, interviews from amazing people helping to raise money for Parkinson's research - including two very excited fans who raised a great deal of money and got the chance to meet their hero Michael J. Fox!

  Reaching Alice

debut book by Richard Van Gramberg

Amazon Reviewers (UK)

"How one day can change a life."Amazon Customer (UK)

*****

"Good read, wanted to keep going till the end!"Amazon Customer (UK)

****

A short story about love, fear, faith and communication with a few twists.

A man pushes away his family and wife, but why? Is it a mid-life crisis? has he lost his love for them? What possible reason could drive a man to isolate himself in a cold-hearted fashion towards his family?

Available from Amazon Kindle Store
Okay, so I’ve been busy writing, my novella, Reaching Alice, which is now on sale at the Amazon Kindle store.  It's a short story which follows a day in the life of tormented protagonist, Michael Morris, a man who has an uncontrollable fear - he has lost any faith he had, his passion for life and is on the verge of losing his high school sweetheart - his wife, Alice.

There is an undergoing theme within the story that I feel relates to us all, Michael's journey is a physical one, but primarily a psychological one - that takes place within 24 hours (from the readers perspective) but Michael has been on this journey since the Summer of 2011, which was a year and four months before.

Time is a key factor, I feel sometimes life can change that rapidly, our thoughts change, the challenges we face, things that influence us and the choices we make. A single day can have a great effect on us for better or for worse.

"Reaching Alice" synopsis …

Michael Morris is a twenty-nine-year-old man who was living a very fortunate life with a loving family around him.

He still has a loving family around him, but a tragic event that he had no control over - and wasn't prepared for - changed him and his thinking.

Haunted by what happened during the Summer of 2011, a deep fear constantly terrifies his mind, and because of it he faces the risk of losing his family and his high school sweetheart - his wife, Alice.

"Reaching Alice" is available worldwide on Amazon Kindle.

Believe In You

by Richard Van Gramberg
Sometimes you get to that point where you have lost all belief in yourself... hey it happens.

It would be easier if we had a manual for life, a guide to where we are going, some kind of solid answer... at least then we would know if all the struggles we endure, will be worth it in the end.

But life - as we all know - isn't like that, there are no guarantees career wise, love wise, friends wise or health wise... there's no psychic to tell us all that this is how it will be so chill out - or panic - depending on what you hear.

Maybe it's best not to know - just take things a day at a time - and see how it all goes... life is a mystery, maybe that's just how it was meant to be.

I think believing in yourself comes from the small steps you take and the little things you do to build the belief in you, and to use that belief to achieve whatever it is you set your sights on in life.

Sometimes, all we can do is believe in ourselves, and if we are very lucky, we might find that one person who believes in us... and that means a great deal.
